FAQ
Q: Are Redodo LiFePO4 batteries safe?
Yes, LiFePO4 is an inherently safe and extremely stable type of lithium battery. Redodo lithium cells are UL certified, meeting the highest safety and sustainability standards. All Redodo LiFePO4 batteries are equipped with an internal Battery Management System (BMS) that offers comprehensive protection against under-voltage during discharge, over-voltage during charging, over-current during discharge, over-temperature during both charging and discharging, and short circuits, thus preventing damage to the battery cells. Additionally, Redodo LiFePO4 batteries have undergone rigorous testing to ensure they are free from the risks of fire and electric shock, even in harsh environments.
Q: Can this battery be used in series to build a 48-volt system?
Yes, Redodo 12V deep cycle lithium batteries can be connected in series to create a 48V battery system.
Note: Do not connect batteries with different chemistries in series or parallel.
Q: How many Redodo 12V 300Ah lithium Batteries can I connect at most?
The 12V series batteries support various configurations such as series, parallel, and series-parallel connections. You can connect up to four 12V 300Ah batteries in series, in parallel, or in a series-parallel configuration to achieve capacities of up to 40.96kW and energy storage of 61.44kWh.
Please ensure batteries are of the same model and have similar capacities for optimal performance.
Q: How do I store Redodo LiFePO4 lithium batteries?
It is advisable to store Redodo LiFePO4 batteries at a 50% state of charge (SOC). If storing them for extended periods, it is recommended to cycle the batteries at least every 6 months. Recommended storage environment: 10℃~35℃ (50℉~95℉),45%RH~75%RH.
Q: Can I charge Redodo LiFePO4 lithium batteries with solar panels?
Yes, you can charge Redodo LiFePO4 lithium batteries with solar panels. Here are 3 recommended ways to charge LiFePO4 lithium batteries.
1. Using Solar Panels
The Redodo 12V 300Ah battery can be fully charged by in one day (with effective sunshine 4.5hrs/day) by 1200W solar panels. It may take more than one day to fully charge the battery by ≥1200W solar panels since the duration and intensity of light would be a great factor for their charging efficiency.
2. Generator/Alternator
If the alternator or generator supports DC output, a DC-to-DC charger is needed to connect the battery to the generator; if your alternator or generator supports AC output, please add a suitable battery charger to connect the battery and the generator according to our recommendations.
The Recommended Charging Voltage: 14.2V - 14.6V. The Recommended Charging Current: ① 60A (0.2C): the battery will be fully charged in around 5 hrs to 100% capacity; ② 150A (0.5C): the battery will be fully charged in around 2 hrs to around 97% capacity.
3. LiFePO4 Smart Chargers
To charge 12V battery, it is recommended to use 14.6V battery charger.
