FAQ
Q: What does CCA mean on a battery?
CCA stands for Cold Cranking Amps, which is a measure of a battery's ability to start an engine in cold temperatures. Higher CCA ratings mean the marine battery can provide more power in cold conditions, making it an essential factor for boats used in colder climates.

Q: What does Group 27 mean on a marine battery?
"Group 27" is a classification defined by the Battery Council International (BCI) that refers to the physical dimensions and general specifications of a battery. A Group 27 marine battery typically measures around 12.1 x 6.8 x 8.9 inches. This size is commonly used in dual-purpose marine batteries due to its balance of cranking power and deep cycle performance.
Q: What's the Max.charging current for the 900 CCA battery?
If you charge the battery with a AC charger, the max.charging current is 100A;
If you charge the battery with the alternator in the fuel engine, the max.charging current is 150A.
Q: What's the waterproof rating of the dual purpose lithium marine battery?
The dual purpose lithium marine battery can support IP67 protection. To avoid potential issues, it is recommended to install the 12V marine battery in a waterproof battery container and/or position it at a higher level. This will prevent the battery from being partially or wholly submerged in the water accumulated at the bottom of the boat.
Q: Can the Group 27 dual purpose marine battery be connected in series and parallel?
- For Starting:
You can connect up to 4 identical batteries in parallel for a battery system of up to 12V (12.8V) and 4000Ah.
- For Energy Storage Only:
You can connect up to 16 identical batteries in the following ways:
- 4 in series to create a 48V (51.2V) battery system, or
- 4 in parallel for a 560Ah battery system.
Q: Can the 900 CCA marine battery be used to start a vehicle?
DO NOT use this 900 CCA battery to start any type of vehicle, including cars, motorcycles, or tractors.
Q: What is the difference between Group 24 and 27 marine batteries?
The main difference lies in size, weight, capacity, and power:
- Size: Group 27 batteries are physically larger than Group 24 batteries.
- Weight: Group 27 batteries are heavier due to their larger size and higher capacity.
- Capacity: Group 27 batteries usually provide higher amp-hour (Ah) ratings, meaning they can run devices longer.
- Power Output: With the higher capacity, Group 27 batteries tend to offer more power than Group 24 batteries.
If space and weight aren't an issue, Group 27 is ideal for users who need more capacity in marine applications.
