My Go-To Battery for Ham Radio: Redodo 12V 50Ah LiFePO4 Tested

I'm Marcel, 46 years old, and I live near Rotterdam. I'm a metalworker by trade, and in addition to my job, I create YouTube videos about prepping and survival. I often go into the woods with my daughter or friends to enjoy nature. We sleep under a poncho and build fires with a fire steel. I also produce videos about food storage and safety.

For a vlog about communication in a SHTF situation, I was looking for a lightweight battery to power a 27MC CB radio in an emergency. While searching for information on YouTube, I saw other YouTubers using Redodo products, and that's how I came across Redodo.

I noticed that other YouTubers praised the batteries, especially for their lightness and compactness. My old car battery desperately needed replacing, so I took the opportunity and bought a 12V 50Ah battery. When the package arrived, I briefly thought I'd made a mistake because the box was incredibly light. But when I unpacked it, I was relieved to find a 12V 50Ah battery inside! After fully charging it, I started using it, and it has even exceeded my expectations.

I don't use the battery daily, but I do use it when transmitting from my car with the 27MC radio.

The battery has no problems transmitting 60 watts. It doesn't overheat, and the power doesn't drop. As for its lifespan, that remains to be seen, but I have high expectations.

I'm extremely satisfied with the battery I'm currently using. It does exactly what it's supposed to do and even exceeds my expectations. Ordering was easy, and the battery was delivered quickly. I haven't had any contact with customer service yet, so I can't comment on that.

Would I recommend this product to others? Yes, absolutely! I'm more than satisfied with it. That's why I'm looking forward to using the 12V 100Ah lithium battery and 12V 20Ah lithium battery as soon as possible!
